AVI only supports the following video coding formats:

MPEG-2, MPEG-4, MPEG-4 ASP, H.264, DivX 4/5/6, XviD, SV1, 3ivX D4, H.264/MPEG-4 AVCMKV, AMR, WebM, WMV, MP3. For instance, AVI videos in DX50 and MP4V formats cannot be played.

When a video format is not supported, you are advised to convert the video to MP4 format with a professional video format conversion software.

If ViPlex Express fails to detect your Novastar screen, follow these troubleshooting steps:

Check that the device is powered on and the Wi-Fi antenna is properly installed

Verify your network connection — connect your PC to the device’s Wi-Fi AP hotspot, or ensure both your PC and the device are on the same LAN, and confirm your VPN is turned off

Check your firewall settings to make sure ViPlex Express is not being blocked

To add a screen manually, go to My Screens > Add Screen, enter the device’s IP address, and click Search

ViPlex Express supports four connection methods:

Direct Ethernet Connection — Connect your PC to the player via an Ethernet cable. The device’s default static IP address is 192.168.0.10. Make sure your PC is on the same network segment.

Wi-Fi Direct Connection — Connect to the player’s built-in Wi-Fi AP. For Taurus/TU series devices, the default SSID is “Model + Last 8 digits of SN” and the default password is printed on the SSID label.

Wired LAN — Connect both your PC and the player to the same router via Ethernet cable.

Wireless LAN — Connect both your PC and the player to the same Wi-Fi network. This requires the player to support Wi-Fi Station mode.

Follow these steps to publish a playlist in ViPlex Express:

(1) In the Playlist interface, finish editing your playlist and click Save

(2) Click Preview in the top-right corner to verify the content before publishing

(3) Click Publish in the top-right corner

(4) Choose your publish method:

Single screen — Click Publish to send the playlist to the connected screen

Multiple screens — Click the dropdown next to Publish, select Batch Publish, choose your target screens in the window that appears, and click Confirm & Publish

(5) Go to Publishing Center to monitor publish status, progress, and results

Note: If the playlist resolution does not match the screen resolution, the image may appear stretched or distorted. Always match your playlist resolution to the actual screen resolution before publishing.
